An easy mistake to make
So there he was, Antony, just clicking away on the IKEA website ready for click and collect later in the day when the penny suddenly dropped that 2.3 metre lengths of flat pack wardrobe is not going to fit in any car, let alone his flash BMW coupe! The hunt for a solution began and it didn’t take him long to find us with a Google search. We were his first and last call!
Time to alter our plans
We were on our way to Didcot to deliver our cargo when I received the call. South Oxfordshire back to Northants via MK is no big deal so we agreed to divert to Bletchley and get it sorted for him before early closing hours on a Sunday. I suggested that Antony complete the online purchase and head over to IKEA to get it organised so that by the time he had done so we would be unloaded in Didcot and heading for MK. We arrived not long after 3pm and it went like clockwork with just a little hanging around waiting for the order to come down to the collection point. We were loaded and away before 4pm as predicted albeit a little too close for comfort.
Back to NN5 for delivery
It was over to Antony’s flat next in Upton to unload and what a lovely flat too. Absolute pleasure to see Antony’s eye for style in his cleverly decorated and furnished apartment at the new Morris Homes development on West St, Upton Valley Way. We love a last minute lifesaver dash and we were rewarded with a very gracious review so couldn’t have been more satisfied. Another success for Van Man Northampton it is then!
