Last Minute Request
We received a call from Dominique at lunchtime on a Saturday enquiring if we were available to assist with a last minute decision to move some of her mum’s things into a local storage facility. It so happened that two of our team were free to jump in and so off we went to Duston to meet Dominique and Richard. We were forewarned that Dominique’s mum had been taken into temporary care and that we should expect to find a scene of serious hoarding activity….NOT WRONG THERE! When Christian and Paul arrived it wasn’t even possible open doors to enter rooms but they got straight into it with Richard and Dominique helping to begin clearing out. There were plastic stacking crates of all shapes and sizes literally everywhere, floor to ceiling but we soon had the van loaded for the first run to storage.

The next phase of the operation was down to the nearest storage facility and into a 175 Square Foot unit. Luckily, Paul at Here Storage had a large unit available and we began the reverse process of stacking the endless plastic crates into some kind of order. With stackable crates you have the opportunity to use the height of the unit and maximise your available space and within a few hours we’d managed 2 runs and de-cluttered the house to a point where you could move in there and Richard and Dominique could manage the rest of the clear out and get the place ready for mum’s return.
We Love A Challenge!
If you have a last minute request just get on the phone to us as a first port of call: we love a challenge and we actually thrive on it to boot. Pre-booked is better for us for sure but you may be surprised at our short notice availability? It doesn’t always work out that we’re available obviously but with multiple vans and a large work force we can often accommodate at short notice. Remember…if it goes in a van, we can move it!
